School Health
Centers

School health centers make a difference by serving as a welcoming access point for students. Your school health center plays a vital role in supporting students’ healthy development. It also improves academic success by providing a safe environment with caring adults. And school health centers are perfectly positioned on campus to give students access to confidential health services and education. Once kids come to the center for health services, they stay to participate in authentic leadership and skill-building experiences.

CHSC has been supporting school health centers since 1996, in partnership with schools, districts, and health providers. Alameda County Health Care Services Agency, through CHSC, provides an annual base allocation to each school health center in the county, investing over $9 million annually in operations funding. Our school health centers are operated by licensed Federally Qualified Health Centers in partnership with the school, district, county, and other providers.
