ALAMEDA COUNTY HEALTH CARE
Our Kids Our Families Program
The Alameda County Our Kids Our Families Program is a school-based behavioral health program operated by the Center for Healthy Schools and Communities. The program fosters social-emotional wellness in an education environment so that children and families feel connected and safe at school and in their communities. Our clinical case managers provide a full continuum of prevention, early intervention, and treatment services at over 30 school sites in Alameda County. Additionally, we staff behavioral health consultants as “leads” in key school districts to help build their capacity to support implementation of school-based behavioral health strategies district-wide.
Our Kids Our Families Internship Program
Training the next generation of social workers and counselors is a high priority of the Center. Interns are placed in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Alameda County and work alongside County clinical case managers to provide a range of direct services to youth and their families.
